We love Memphis , always. SportsCrew teamed up ThePokerLounge.net, Memphis ' only real poker outfit for real poker players. We decided to join them for six tournaments in three days and met a lot of people that are heading to Tunica on Friday for the Bluff City Open. Everyone was cleary in tournament mode, as they were playing tight, but some what aggressive almost everywhere we went. Our first event was at the Side Car Café, a biker's paradise, well not really. It used to be, but know it is a perfect setting for some outside patio poker. Just like the home games. We gave out a number of Royal Vegas T-shirts to final tables and the winners walked away with more than 80 dollars in poker accounts at each tournament.
Our first back to back Memphis event was held a Gill's, directly across from the college formally known as Memphis State . There was a good mix of people that were having good times really. Our Kuzzies were in high demand, but not as high of demand as a Grizzlies win. It's nice when the bar you are at has 7 62” Plasma's. Not a bad seat in the house. Again winners walked away playing with Royal Vegas poker accounts and there is a lot of buzz about our monthly freeroll coming up the last Friday of the next 5 months. Can't wait for that myself. ThePokerLounge.net's poker nights have gotten so big that they have been going to 2 tourneys most nights so everyone has a chance to play.
We closed out Memphis with a big night at Fox and Hound. It is so nice to be out and see all your work paying off. Our previous winners in Memphis showed support by wearing all of the stuff they had won. I saw hats and shirts and even some a pair of the hotpants.. Back to the event, F&H has the best hiring policies hat we have come across so far. O yea, I almost forgot, the word is out on our monthly freeroll. |
