The SportsCrew Hummer hit the road from Denver to Lincoln , Nebraska expecting to find a small, Midwest City in hibernation until the upcoming Cornhusker football season. Although it is true that Lincoln evolves around the University and the Cornhuskers, the city of Lincoln is certainly not dormant in the off season. It is quite the opposite.

The SportsCrew kicked off another successful leg of the Big Ten Tour with back to back to back events in the cornhusker state. Thursday night started out at Randy's Grill and Chill, a cool, local hangout, just minutes away from University of Nebraska 's east campus. Thursday is karaoke night and if you're ever in Lincoln on a Thursday night, this is the place to be. There was not an empty seat in the house. Unlike a lot of karaoke nights, where only about 4 or 5 people get up to sing, just about everyone there lived out there 15 minutes of fame to be a rock star. The SportsCrew set-up shop and put business cards and true poker software on every table. I honed my emcee skills by plugging the sponsors of the tour throughout the night, encouraging people to come back and sign up for the fabulous giveaways that are only available on the Big Ten Tour.

We gave away T-shirts, games, and prizes throughout the night and capped off the event with a little karaoke of my own. Friday the SportsCrew Hummer cruised down the street to Risky's Sports Bar & Grill to party down with a packed house until closing time. Mike Patton, the owner, went out of his way to make the SportsCrew feel welcome and help pull off another great night of promotions for the online gaming industry. Risky's happy hour consist of $2.50 draft beer and free taco bar from 4-7. That got the people there and the SportsCrew kept them there with a chance to win a trip to Bahamas , Las Vegas , or Atlantic City sponsored by Casino Tours LTD., MGM Mirage, and other sponsor of the Big Ten Tour. We signed up over 150 people for the motorcycle giveaway sponsored by I-Vegas and held contests and drawings to giveaway T-Shirts, gifts, and prizes.

The vacation was won by two newlyweds who had not been on their honeymoon yet, so credit the Big Ten Tour for yet another successful event. On Saturday, the weather cleared up and the SportsCrew did a little door to door promotion at the fraternity houses on the campus of University of Nebraska . Saturday night we cruised downtown to pull off another successful promotion at Brewsky's in the historic Haymarket Square . Brewsky's venue was second to none in atmosphere and amenities. The state of the art sports bar with double sided projection screen TV's, internet access, and VIP rooms to host any type of event. The SportsCrew set up a table at the font door to catch people coming in and out throughout the night. TJ, general manager, was incredible offering ideas to help pull off another great event. He put the SportsCrew website up on a few television screens, talked to some customers about the giveaways, and even jumped behind the bar to do a little bartending to help his staff get out of the weeds.

We awarded another vacation to a lucky patron and gave away gifts and prizes throughout the night sponsored by Olympic Sports Book, Ultimatebet.com, Stare Magazine, and Casino Tours LTD.
