Jacksonville Florida

We left Atlanta , Georgia and headed down to the Sunshine State for the "World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party". If you have never experienced 300,000 of the world's greatest sports fans, that's all of you southern college football fans, drinking, mingling, and having a three day party, you need to visit Jacksonville . We arrived on Thursday morning, and immediately noticed how nice everyone was. Found a good lot for tailgating and settled in.

While down there, we held a contest sponsored by bodog.com, which was a guess the score contest. Fans had the chance to win a $200 online betting account at bodog.com and also received their choice of a beer coozie, cup, bottle opener, or a pair of thong underwear. The first night in Jacksonville , we met up with Nicole Adams from bodog.com and went to the Hooters at The Landings. The Landings is a little bar district right on the water where are of the revelers go and have a great time. There was a live band and probably about 15,000 people the first night. After the landings, we went down to a local bar called Jacksonville Ale House and left at last call.

Woke up Friday morning with a headache. We went straight back to tailgating and holding the contest. Nicole From bodog, Ryan, and Myself posted at the Hummer while the street team was out talking to people, passing out thongs and registering people for the contest. Another great day of hanging out with some really cool people and drinking. It was amazing when I saw the 60-year-old woman wearing Georgia colors ride into the lot on a golf cart driven by three college-aged men, wearing Florida colors, and jamming out the hip-hip song Tricky. People are just down there to have a good time and party.

Friday Night, we all headed down to Sneakers Sports Grille on the beach. We held a contest for a Trip to the Bahamas for everyone at the bar and Matt Nasby, of California was the winner. Had a huge party with six of the beautiful SportsCrew.com girls. Tried to go back to The Landings for the big party night but it was so full that they would not let anyone in the area after 11 pm. Went to a cool little bar on the beach called Ocean Club and had a great time.

Saturday morning, another headache. It was game day and we were on our way to the game. Coming over the bridge to the game, all you could see was party-goers RVs and tents baring the logo of either University of Georgia Bulldogs or University of Florida Gators . When we arrived at our spot, we noticed bulldog fans pulling stuffed alligators around on a rope and one Georgia tent on the main street with a board, counting the number of Florida fans with jean shorts and mullets. The atmosphere was amazing and the number of people was astonishing. Nicole form bodog and I went into the game and watched an amazing game along with 85,000 other fans, half Georgia , half Florida . Georgia came out the victor by a total score of 34-24, and the parties went on all night and into the wee hours of the morning.
