Potter author signs off in style |
 Harry Potter author JK Rowling has scribbled a note on a marble bust in the luxury hotel room where she finished her final book. The millionaire wrote the note to fans after completing the book at Edinburgh's five-star Balmoral Hotel. Before checking out, she wrote in black marker pen on an antique-style statue: "JK Rowling finished writing Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows in this room on 11 Jan 2007." Her final book Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows looks set to be a huge success. Amazon.com said first-day advance orders for this seventh book were 547 per cent higher than for its predecessor. The new book will follow Harry during his final year at Hogwarts and is due to be published on July 21.
